Who is this course for?
This course is perfect for photographers, bloggers, or anyone who is looking for a streamlined system to take their images from camera to gallery! If you have a system, my hope is that you can pull things from my process to streamline yours. And if you're just getting started, you're welcome to put this in place from the get go!
Is this course for a certain kind of photography?
NO! The whole idea is that whether you're editing a full wedding or your dogs (#guilty) that you can do it in a streamlined and QUICK way that allows you to also have consistent work whether or not you're a pro!
What materials will I need?
A camera, SC or CF card, and a computer. I will introduce you to Photo Mechanic and Lightroom and highly recommend both of these PC and Mac compatible programs! If you do not have them, you can do a trial and see what you think :) In terms of the final image product, you'll want a folder on your computer or an external hard drive to save them to and if you're a professional photographer, an established online gallery to deliver to your clients.
I don't really have an editing style, is this course for me?
This course is not about the STYLE of editing you do, but rather the process in which you edit. You can be dark and moody, light and airy, or unsure completely but my hope is that this approach to editing will help you hone in and speed up! That being said. your style of shooting and consistency in editing style will affect the pace at which you can move through this process.
It currently takes me 2-3 hours to edit a standard portrait session. How fast can I expect my process to be after this course?
I've taught this person in a 1:1 setting and my clients have been able to IMMEDIATELY get their process time down by at least 50%! Like with all things, change can take some adjusting, but you will have the tools as soon as you've moved through the modules to do your entire process in 1 HOUR! Promise!
